That´s a great idea!! Computer Gaming or Casino Gaming!! It would be much more great with a ranking komponent/modul for Joomla .5 like joomleaque which isn´t for Joomla 1.5 and a nice design.

The Xenia 2 Gamers template is outdated… If the Joomlart dudes could build a state of the art gaming (clan) template, with a custom build clan component. They would earn a load of money… There are loads people waiting for such a template…
Instead of building each month 2 business/boring templates #654, they should create something way more different then the rest.

How is Xenia II “outdated” when you can most certainly customize it to fit your needs? It’s an excellent starting point for a gaming site. JoomlART is not in the business of developing custom specialized niche components – there are a good number of developers out there who do this.
I would suggest either looking through the Joomla.org Extension Directory and/or posting your component request on Joomlancers.

I’ve read the extension dir from top to bottom. And I have worked with Joomla for 3? years almost. But still no component/template(S) for game/clan websites. Above all, Xenia aint a good starting point for me. IF I choose Xenia, then I should modify 90% of the template, because it’s outdated imo.

Cant agree more 🙂 especially on the casino gaming part.
I have a new domain that is just bought and i am gonna find me a good casino template to start out with. There are actually werry few real good casino gaming/portal templates out on the web so i believe the site that manages to create one, would benefit i heck lot on it 😉
Anyway, just my opinnion on it.

I hope as we have said even of a casino template or better call Gambling Guide template. A good rankings component (modul) would be very important to me, also review and rating, because it will be so casinos and Pokerrooms tested and evaluated. Moreover, it would be ideal to JAShowcase (new Joomla 1.5. version).
Themes:
a) Casino (roulette, blackjack, poker, slots, etc.)
b) Texas Hold’em poker, games (soccer, tennis, Basbetball) and Horse Races
