    Is there any way to get rid of the IE6 warning entirely?

    Forever?

    For example, joomlart.com should have done this long ago.

    How can we forever rid ourselves of this terrible menace?

    Besides deleting the folder, is there anything else I should delete?

    If you don’t want to show it anymore, then delete that folder

    If you don’t want to delete ie6 folder as @pavit mentioned you can use my solution as below

    Open plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/blocks/ie6/ie6warning.php file

    Find

    define ('SHOW_IE6_WARNING', 'close');

    and change it to

    define ('SHOW_IE6_WARNING', 'none');
