September 3, 2011 at 9:04 am #410361Just out of interest, is this your site based on JA Portfolio? – http://www.mybangkokproperty.com/
IMHO if you are still actively using a JA product on a live site then do you still feel that a refund is in order?
The decision on refunds and what may or may not have happened in your case is not something I cannot have an influence on as a forum moderator but I would be interested in what problems you are still having with your site.

September 3, 2011 at 2:02 pm #410387So let me get this straight, you are using a copy of the template not downloaded from us gained from a friend along with some components such as JA K2 Search that are part of the JA Extensions club and not available to JAEC members anyway. You are also using the JA Showcase component, again normally only available to JAEC or Developer members. You want us to fix problems you are having with warez copies of extensions that are not part of the membership scheme you have paid $50 for? You also want personalized customization of the same extensions?
You Joined back in July but only requested a refund in August several days after the 7 days were up.
It is not my decision as to whether you do, or do not get a refund but based on the facts above my personal view would be you have had more than your moneys worth.
I have escalated your issues to those at JA who can help you reslove this.

September 3, 2011 at 2:49 pm #410390Hi,
Please let me know the Ticket Id and the date on which you asked for cancellation of service or refund. And as phill pointed out and i also checked the other threads from you. You are using JA portfolio template when you do not have any active membership for that product. Nor is that domain registered with us. How do you explain that? Using illegal template / extensions is not encouraged and not supported.
I hope you have a good explanation for the usage of our template on your site.
If you think you can threaten us by going to internet, then we are not afraid and please feel free as we are not at fault here.
Arvind

please try to see it from my point of view:
1. i dont have money, but i see a market niche here in bangkok
2. i dont know how to make website
3. my friend gave me your template and share his extensions
4. i pay for you guys, when i do make money from the website, but only if you give me the support for your extensions or template i need.you need to understand, if i dont have money, you guys dont get paid, it doesnt bother me to pay this few dollars per year, but i would like to have a good support that is worth the money… the way you guys talk to me isnt really professional? ever heard about good costumers reputation? do you think i am the only one who try out your product first, and if i see its really good and worth the money, i will pay for it in order for you guys to continouing work on it. I, with no website knowledge will not just buy online template from a random website… i will have to try it out first.
btw. if i cancalled after the 7 days…Why you dont simply just tell me it has passed 7 days allready? i dont like talking like a caveman, but i do see some of the professional moderator here on joomlart pefer it this way….

September 3, 2011 at 4:04 pm #410395This has to be one of the strangest cases I’ve ever seen…
You are admitting to gaining access and using JA products that you did not own….
Im guessing you joined for the 7 days in order to get the extensions and mods required to make your template “which you didnt pay for” to work. (Hey I’m only guessing not saying its so) or to gain access to the forum for answers required.
Then with your template working you want your money back.
If this ever went to court…….answers on a post card!
For all of us who have no money there are thousand upon thousands of templates out there for FREE!
You site looks very good by the way!!

so after i have seen, i am a member and i am not getting good support i need, so i ask myself, why should i keep this membership when i dont get the forum support which i needed?

September 3, 2011 at 6:01 pm #410409<em>@jakkraphong 264906 wrote:</em><blockquote>im a member now, whats your point?</blockquote>
The point is that you obtained not only a JATC Club Template, but JAEC Club Extensions “from your friend” – prior to purchasing a JATC membership (not a JAEC membership as well, as far as I can tell) – and then you “demand” customization service which, as Phil Luckhurst (and several others) have pretty thoroughly explained to you, is beyond the scope of JoomlArt Template Support and Terms of Service. THEN, when you do not get the responses you want – within the relatively small time frame you want – you demand a refund . . . after the clearly delineated money-back guarantee period had expired – while still intending to utilize JA Club level template and extensions “long term” for your website project.Did I miss anything here?
In the spirit of “let’s get to the bottom-line here,” I have a few follow-up questions for you . . . .
1. Who is your “friend” – from whom you claim you acquired this template and extensions – and what is/was his membership username and/or ID ??
2. What/Where are your previous question threads within the forum for which you claim you did not receive any response?
3. You state that you are “just seeking advice here,” yet you are chastising JoomlArt for not performing the custom work you “demand.” Seeking advice is quite different than demanding custom service, my friend – as I am quite certain you understand. We are more than willing here to provide our Members advice, suggestions, resources for learning, etc – as are quite a number of other Members who have exhibited the patience and taken the time to explore, research and learn about how to work with even the bare basics of a Joomla based template and CSS/PHP web design principles. If you intend on using your website for a long time, these are things you will need to take the time and learn.
In fact, as a Licensed JATC Member, you have access to the great number of TIPS & TUTORIALS to assist you in learning and understanding these basic concepts and methods of accomplishing various things . . . not to mention the (in most cases) illustrated User Guides for each template that are prepared and posted for each and every JATC Template.
So, what can we take away from all of this? . . . . . . . . . . . .
1. You need to understand that obtaining JoomlArt proprietary products from warez sites and/or through non-membership means is neither acceptable nor tolerated by JoomlArt and/or our Moderation/Support Staff. It is VERY easy for us to ascertain when one of our proprietary products being used is not legally licensed – and there are many a legal recourse at our disposal to address such.
2. The scope of JoomlArt Technical Support is to address bugs and malfunction issues within the core functionality of our Templates and Extensions. While we – as do many of our Members – do often lend our advice and/or recommendations as to various issues, the role and responsibility of JA Technical Support is not – nor has it ever been – to provide customization services for websites based on our templates and/or extensions.
3. If you intend to run your JA Template based website for a long time – as you indicate above – then, as a current Licensed Member, I strongly advise and encourage you to avail yourself to the deep and informative/educational resource that is our JoomlArt Community Forum – where many questions/issues have already been asked and addressed (some several times over). If you cannot find the answer to your particular question, then – by all means – create a thread with your question/issue. However, you must exhibit a level of patience and consideration as part of the process of following-up and receiving a response – as well as continue with your own trial-and-error experimentation and efforts in trying to figure out a solution. NONE of us here woke up one day and knew everything there was to know about Joomla and/or JoomlArt products. Rather, we took things one step at a time and – as with learning anything – patiently and methodically learned, experimented and practiced until we achieved the various goals we set for ourselves. YOU can achieve the same – if you simply take a deep breath and allow yourself to embrace the process.
So, let’s all turn a new page here and start along a new path toward building a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship with each other – and I firmly believe we will all be further enriched by the process. Sound reasonable agreeable to you? 🙂
