September 20, 2010 at 4:07 pm #356131How do you move your existing, say Telline II, over to a K2 based site if like most news sites it has many thousands of articles? The K2 auto import doesn’t work except with very small content sites.

Im not sure how to move your joomla articles over K2 as I started my website from scratch with K2 and it’s so much easier for uploading content, pictures and videos, but, you can check at the K2 community, mabe you can find some information in there.
Montse.

September 22, 2010 at 10:42 am #356363More colors plus option for rounded corner for modules. Support to excellent components such as JomSocial, Kunena, K2 and JReviews.
September 24, 2010 at 5:12 pm #356605I think Ja teline IV would be really different from the II and the III, even the graphic should be like most elegance. I think is very important to create more interactive with K2 component, that it looks like exactely the new beta version of Joomla 1.6. No more section, but only category. In all site of information I’ve seen, I found only one that for me looks like a professional newspaper or a magazine on line. Have a look at this site…(http://www.ilsole24ore.com/) Look the top menu really similar at the T3 framworks Mega menu. Look even the modules, not really different from Joomla component and the Agorร as well. And then the author’s articles that appear at the bottom. Like K2 do! But at the moment tryng on local Ja Social I realized that K2 and Joomla are not compatible in some ways. I mean, you can use modules for Joomla and other, but different, built for K2. It’s a pity. Maybe Joomla 1.6, when it will come, can solve a lot of this small but important problems, especially for a newspaper on line.

October 1, 2010 at 5:16 pm #357350H1 tags on WebPages
From SEF/SEO point of view, the most important tag on a webpage is H1.
I am very surprised to see that when you use the H1 tag for an article/page title we unexpectedly have two H1 tags on this same page – one for website Logo Image/Text and one for the page title.
Two H1 tags on a page confuse all Search Engines resulting in decrease of page PR.
Simply speaking page cannot have two H1 tags!
In fact, the logo should not have any tag!
BTW, I found this problem not only on Teline III template but also in other JA templates I tested.

October 1, 2010 at 5:25 pm #357351In the below quote, we have all been excited and with the below quote with the header “When is Teline IV coming out?, you said <blockquote>It’s available when it’done. No Commitment on exact date, but one can expect a preview of Teline IV next month(that would be month of September). It also depends on how quickly you give the feedback and suggestion.</blockquote> didn’t we had enough feedback to warrant a preview(we are not asking for the download but just a preview)

Dear Members,
The year been good and very hectic, we are gripping back and going well. We got good news for Teline lovers. We are laying Keel for the Teline IV, which would be running on our own T3 Framework 2.
Looking back to the Teline series we got :
Teline I – 2007.
Teline II – 2008
Teline III – 2009 – T3 V1 version.
Teline IV – Soon…Calling for suggestions :
Teline lovers are welcome to put forward your suggestions for features they would like to see in the new version.
What’s expected?Be brief, give examples of what you want (so that idea is clear).
Example :
When is Teline IV coming out? It’s available when it’done. No Commitment on exact date, but one can expect a preview of Teline IV next month. It also depends on how quickly you give the feedback and suggestion.
Migration Support from Teline (old) versions to Teline IV ?
It is similar to switching templates. You will need to install the template, install the required extensions (to be supplied with the template) and redo your customization. Remember, No Teline can look similar. The JoomlArt Team awaits your suggestions.

October 3, 2010 at 7:57 am #357517We use Teline III and it goes great.
In a new version we would like:
– embed by default social sharing buttons in the content: e.g. (re)tweet counter & Facebook button. And only for the article and not on the frontpage. So we keep the frontpage clean like it is now.
– possibility to change the hight of the header so that a bigger logo is easy to install (might be a good option for more templates)Keep up the good work!
October 7, 2010 at 7:03 pm #358098Being able to use JomSocial and Kunena 1.6 with Teline IV would be really good. ๐

October 7, 2010 at 7:13 pm #358100We need to wait for Kunena 1.6 to become stable before developing for it surely? There have been so many changes to 1.6 and especially the theme engine that is would be a wasted effort I feel.
