June 19, 2013 at 6:43 pm #188345I setup the email template using a header template to bring the company image into the email. The problem is on one of these email templates the system is adding some ghost image under it that is broken. This image is the exact one I setup on the form but looking at this in the email it is clear the reason the image is broken is because it my computer does not have a way to find this image because it is a dynamic link..
Now this would not be so bad except that it is not on the form anywhere and there is no where that I can see to remove this. Here is how it looks when it comes into my email client.
<img src=”http://stem-staffing.com/images/STEM-logoweb.png” width=”82″ height=”41″ /><br /><img src=”images/STEM-logoweb.png” width=”82″ height=”41″ />
Notice the first link being static displays but the image after the br tag fails and should not even be there anyway. So my question is where do I look to remove this image from being sent?

June 21, 2013 at 3:44 am #496442Hi Earthrat,
The path link must be fully in the email content. See : <img src=”http://stem-staffing.com/images/STEM-logoweb.png” width=”82″ height=”41″ /> .
Are you talking to {JA_PROFILES.COMPANY} key?

June 22, 2013 at 1:33 am #496539After going into every email template it is clear that this is not one of them. THere is a template called Send mail to job seeker sign up sucessful under the Job Seeker – Employer join group but there is one difference in this template that is not in the one that gets mailed. Note that I have not changed anything other than the name and phone number and otherwise this is as it was installed.
This is the line in the template that I have access to that is different.
Username: {USERS.USERNAME}
Please save this information for future reference and wait for admin approval before you can perform other activities as a job-seeker.
Please feel free to contact us <a title=”Contact Us” href=”http://www.stem-staffing.com/contact”>via our online form HERE</a> or by calling <a class=”phone-link” href=”tel:17604407836″>760.440.STEM (7836)</a> if you have any problems or questions.
This is how this same line looks in the email that I get.
Kindly save this information for future reference and wait for admin approval before you can perform other activities as an employer.
Please feel free to contact no-reply@stem-staffing.com if you have any questions / problems.
Thing is I would not have added the system email that you see here and would have changed that to contact us a different way. So my question is, where in the world is this email template coming from because it is absolutely NOT in the Email Template section under Design and Customization!

That is the content of email: “Send mail to employer when signUp sucessful”.
You should check the content of 2 emails: “Send mail to employer when signUp sucessful” & “Send mail to job seeker sign up sucessful”

</blockquote>That is just it there is only the one there “Send mail to job seeker sign up sucessful”. The one you say this is coming from does not exist “Send mail to employer when signUp sucessful”. I have been through every form regardless of name or group and I cannot find this email template anywhere. The only one that is there is Send mail to job seeker sign up sucessful.
What I have in the Job Seeker -Employer join group are:
Send email to job seeker when approving resume
Send mail to job seeker sign up sucessful
Send mail to me when I send resume to friendI will try and create this but I am still confused as to why if it does not exist an email is being sent with content that cannot be found in the email template manager? So if I create a form called “Send mail to employer when signUp sucessful” is the system going to pick up on that and use it? Or is it going to continue using this one that does not exist anywhere to edit?
On a side note successful is spelled with two “c” and in the job board it is spelled with one on this form.

June 25, 2013 at 3:00 am #496787I am puzzled on how to set this up? I am wondering if both the job seeker and the employer should be using the same template? I say that because for the Email template group there is only one for both of these user types. The rest of the template setup is going to be identical and really the only difference between the two when deciding which template is which is the name you give it and the title. So unless the job board looks at these names to decide which gets sent I see no reason to have two? Then there is the question where what is currently being sent is not even in the templates and goes back to my question, “where is it coming from”?
Now there is one other problem when I try and create a new one with the name just as you stated when I try to save it says the name already exists, so again I will ask Where is the template if it exists???

June 25, 2013 at 3:25 am #496790Well I found it, the site is set to use the English US language file and when I filter based on that all of a sudden there are a few new templates that suddenly appear. However most of the templates that were there show a title and say the template does not exist and asks if I want to create it from the default file. What is weird is all I have done in this area is make changes and correct spelling but there are some templates available in the US but most of them are not. Why are some available here but others are not? I could see this happening if I had created them using the US language file but I did not and in fact I have not created a single template.
Now I am asking myself how many of my issues are based on this fact and why is the job board not working when the site was set to use the English US language file when the job board was installed? This is the first and only extension that has issue with using my language file and I am puzzled by the whole thing?
P.S. Can someone fix the word wrap in this posting editor? It is so annoying when my word splits to a new line right in the middle. It makes it hard to re-read what I have typed!

June 25, 2013 at 7:59 am #496832Hi Earthrat,
For the sample data of this component, it has full email templates in the English United Kingdom language. If you have a look at the documentation http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Administration#Email_Template , you can see how easy to add email in other language!!!
In your case, you move some email templates from Englisht United Kingdom to English USA language type. So you must move them back . If you want to create email templates for each language on your site, you can copy it as guided in the JA Jobboard documentation then you can understand better about these emails.
Now, I would like show you a few logic of the email sending process:
– Each email is designed for one case (action) as you can see the email title.
– In the site multiple languages, the email templates in English United Kingdom are supported fully, that mean you should not delete any email in English UK.
When there is an event on your site ( jobseeker, employer registered, post new job, ….), the JA Jobboard system will get exactly email template for that event and send to user. If you want to send email to users with other language, you need to create new email templates for that language (add email in another language you can use copy to to copy email in one language to another language, then edit the copied email template. You also can export email template, edit it, then import it to another language.
See more at: http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Administration#Email_Template) and edit them as you wish.
Please remember that when the system sends a email to user, it will find email with active language active . Otherwise, it will get original emal templates(English United Kingdom) to send it out.
Hope all is clear and let me know if you need any further clarifications.
Regards

June 25, 2013 at 6:07 pm #496910Thanks Her0 that does clear up a lot but please know that I did not copy any template to the US language, nor did I create any from scratch. I only edited the content of the body of the ones that were there when I installed the extension. When I figured this out and viewed the US side of the templates I saw quite a few templates there that were never in the default side. I am going to have report this as a bug and say that some of the templates were put there on install. The fact that some of the default templates are only available in the US side says that something went south when the job board was installed, where the US language file had already been installed on the site prior to this.

June 26, 2013 at 1:52 am #496942Hi Earthrat,
No, the US language is not in the installation package and we have only email templates in the English United Kingdom by default (sample data).
I think that you should move some US email templates back to English United Kingdom or if you want, i will help you to do this and make copy to US.

June 26, 2013 at 6:18 am #496980Case in point, I know this. When I installed Job Board the US language file was already in place. What I am saying is that there was a handful of these templates that were only visible in the US language. I never moved them nor did I even copy them over and in fact I did not even know this was an issue before I stumbled on it. So how did some of these templates show up in that language and disappear from the UK language if no one touched them? Can you say BUG?

June 26, 2013 at 8:05 am #496998Dear Earthrat,
To be frank, i don’t know why it has been moved to US language. However, it is not the issue, we can move it back easily. Please move it back and check email function again and keep me updated on this.
If the issue still persists, i am willing to help.
Best regards
