To Hung and Joomlart Programmers:

Kindly make life easier for all of us, since it is just a simple scripting issue. In the JA News Module, there is an option that allows you to select:

Show Readmore (Choices => Show Hide)

The make the default Hide is brilliant. Thank you Joomlart. But, as useful that the above option to allow the web creator to select Show, for web creators who wanted redundancy in their site (for clueless visitors:)).

My suggestion is that the same option must be included for the option to be included in the JA News Module and JA News Frontpage:

Linked Title (Choices => Yes No)

with Yes as the default.. For many reasons I will not go into here.

This is even more important in the news-magazine template. Right now, the above option is placed in each section and category. So, if you have 20 sections and 5 categories for each section, you have to perform each process a hundred times.

Really quite smart scripting if you want to make life difficult for the web creator.:) Especially some customers who have been critical of Joomlart.

Just a bit of history. The option

Linked Title (Choices => Yes No)

used to be a one step process, as one of the choices in the Global Configuration of Joomla 1.0.x. But, the brilliant programmers of Joomla decided to delete that global option in Joomla 1.6.x.

And, Joomlart corrected it by placing this choice in each of the Section and Category you ever want to creator.

Smart, very smart.
