this is one of the sample page and I want to add a google analytic tag to the link as shown in the pic attached because I want to track conversion rate for the text link click which will direct to the whatsapp page. How can I do that?

As I can see on that page, the link is put inside Joomla article content with a tag, did you try to do the same?

I can’t understand. I add the google tag into the template but didn’t insert any other tag in the link. if the visitor click on the link, how can it trigger the code.

It seems that there is still confusion here. Pls let me know:
1) Where did you add the google tag?
2) Where you want to show the link? Joomla article page or a module?
3) Kindly share the credentials of your site so I can have a closer look and check for you.

I think I have solved the problem by putting the button in the article and use google tag manager for tracking. thanks a lot.
