    Hello,
    I’ve just installed from http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-&-images/maps/1147/details on two websites.

    On the first site, at http://www.stille.it/come-arrivare.html I’ve issue on display correctly the map.

    The same component is installed on another my website at http://www.grandesalento.it/turismo-nel-salento/8-bed-and-breakfast/8-stille-salento-beb.html and it shows the SAME map correctly.

    Someone can help me to understand why on http://www.stille.it/come-arrivare.html there is the issue on display the map?

    I’ve not modified in any way the code (css or php) in Joomla, Templates or other.
    With JA Purity, the default Joomla template, the map is showed correctly.

    Thanks,
    kind regards,
    Pierluigi

    Hi ghale,

    I think you should post this issue to joomla forum. somebody, who have the same problem will help you fix this issue.
    I am sorry for not being of much help in this case.

    Mhh,
    I’ve seed on this forum that other people has the same problem, and I’ve understand that this is a Javascript “incompatibility” with the template and the Google Maps script!

    Can this be important? I’ve added another Google Maps Plugin as a MODULE, not in ARTICLE, you can see it at http://www.stille.it/aaa.html where you can see on the left THE PROBLEMATIC map, on the right the GOOD ONE.

    So, it’s not a Joomla issue, but a JA Opal template one???
    Repeat, with JA Purity, the default Joomla template, the map is showed correctly!

    There is someone can help me, please, to let a Google Map plugin work with JA Opal?
    Someone tried a working plugin with this template?

    I’ve finished my website, the only thing to complete is the map.

    Thanks,
    kind regards,
    Pierluigi

    It was a template issue.

    Well, the problem was with a png transperancy
    In template.css I’ve found
    div.article-content img,
    .img-desc img {
    background:#FFFFFF none repeat scroll 0 0;
    border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    margin: 0 8px 0 0;
    padding: 4px;
    }
    and substituted with:
    div.article-content img,
    .img-desc img {
    border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    margin: 0 8px 0 0;
    padding: 4px;
    }
    Now works good.

    Bye,
    Pierluigi

    Thanks Ghale.
    The only problem is that, in this way, you loose the white frame on articles linked from the main page.
    Not that big issue, actually. I’d recommend the JA team to investigate on the problem, maybe changing template code and add custom tags / selectors to keep full functionality without any plugin glitch.
    Thank you 🙂

    Yes, right. I think that without these few issues, the template will be great!
