December 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm #183407Hello,
I want to use the google maps module to display job locations like on your demo site. In the module’s settings, it says under the module’s description that
“This module will show all of jobs in location that you selected in “Show jobs in location” params on Google map.”
Where do I set this “Show jobs in location”? When I click on the link https://developers.google.com/maps/signup from the module setting, I’m taken to google maps and I log in with my google account but cannot see where to set this. I already have google maps API key but can’t find where to set the “Show jobs in location”? .
Could you please point me to the location where I can set this?
Thanks

December 26, 2012 at 3:38 am #477527Hi Environc,
Please check out this user guide http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Get_Google_API . After you get Google API key, please fill it into jamap plugin key param and select all locations in JA Jobs Map module.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.

January 10, 2013 at 4:47 pm #479291Hi Hero,
I followed the wiki steps several times step-by-step but I still keep getting the original error. These are the steps I followed:
1. enabled google maps api v2 and v3 under services in google
2. created new browser key with parameter *.environmentalcareers.com.au/*
3. generated api key
4. pasted api key in system – ja google map plugin api key field and checked other parameters
5. chose target location and coordinates
6. checked the boxes in the code generation tool
7. then copied the generated code
8. pasted the code into article where map is supposed to go
9. activated the module mod_jajobs_map and completed all basic option parameters
10. and published the module in the article’s pageI’m still getting the same error. Could you please show me what I’m doing wrong with the above steps?

January 11, 2013 at 3:01 am #479343Hi Environc,
You must insert key V2 for plugin and key V3 for module.

January 11, 2013 at 6:53 am #479363Hi Hero,
Thanks, it worked. There’s one thing that’s a little strange. If you go to this URL you’ll see another smaller map at the bottom. Where’s it coming from? Where do I remove this?
Please check the screenshot below.

January 14, 2013 at 7:05 am #479573Hi Environc,
I just checked on your site and could see that you missed to select location of jobs for displaying on module. Hence, I enable all location for map module.

January 14, 2013 at 10:27 am #479629Hi Hero,
Thanks. I am talking about removing the smaller map at the bottom of the screenshot. I don’t want to have that map and I was looking at the plugin settings but couldn’t find where to remove it.

January 15, 2013 at 2:04 am #479726Maybe you add gmap code tag into content of article in page link https://environmentalcareers.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=529 . You should find in that article.
