Google reCaptcha is showing in Contact Form, but not showing in registration form. I read this post and disabled system_K2_Plugin. Then all of a sudden, entire design of the site becomes weird and registration form also changes. But Captcha starts showing in the new registration form.

Home page before system_K2 plugin is disabled :
Home page after system_K2 plugin is disabled :
Registration form before system_K2 plugin is disabled :
Registration form after system_K2 plugin is disabled :

I would like to use the registration form with personal details with a Captcha and of course, retaining the normal layout.

One more thing is about the Url of the registration form : . SEF is enabled and the url is showing “using-joomla” directory. Please tell me how to avoid that.

    Please help me out.
    Thanks in advance.

Because you can not configuration reCaptcha on K2.

Go to Admin->Components->K2-> Parameters button-> Advanced tab -> you see “Anti-spam Settings”

    add reCaptcha Key

    <blockquote>reCaptcha public key
    reCaptcha private key
Enable reCaptcha on registration form: Yes</blockquote>

Can you check this link: http://ayurworld.org/index.php?option=com_users&view=registration

    Dear Ninja Lead,

I do not want to use K2. I just want to run the kunena forum and for that I want guests to register in Joomla. I am using Joomla content for the entire website.

I tried to disable K2 user and system plugin, then joomla registration form starts showing but the entire website design and is becoming problematic.

The ayurworld.org was a 5 year old and famous website in its stream, I just redesigned it using JA Kranos Template and went into this registration problem.

Please help me out asap because I am getting lot of complaints that the registration is not possible.

I think I have found a way around. In order to use Joomla registration form without any other site layout problems, I disabled K2 user plugin keeping K2 System plugin enabled to make the K2 CSS also enabled. I think, some clash with the K2 layout and CSS is the reason why the website layout went wrong when I disabled K2 System Plugin.

And there is one User profile plugin in Joomla 2.5, which if enabled, will give an optional personal details form for registration like the K2 registration form.

Hope somebody may find this useful

    Thanks!

When you install K2 component on your system. it default registration form of Joomla. If you don’t want to use K2 component you need to remove it and plugin override com content with K2 User.

I am using the quickstart package and K2 was installed by default. Now everything works fine other than JaComments showing only “undefined” message and I am going to post another thread for that.

Do I need to uninstall K2 if I am not using it ? I have disabled K2 user plugin and now, the Joomla registration form is showing up. Registrations and Kunena access has no troubles.

    Please advice.

If you don’t use K2 component, you can remove it on your system. Sure it will not conflict with Registrations and Kunena.

    Take backup of your site.

    HI,
I have also a similar problem with recaptcha in contact form
I use the k2 component and I configured in advanced parameters the keys (public and private) and enable the option to recaptcha in registration form. Despite of this dont´t work well because in form don’t show recaptcha (in comments of k2 items work well)

    Any idea?

    Thanks

It is supported and included in the contact form. If you are using JA template, sometimes it was customized a bit to match with our template but concept.
You can remove it by: template/your template/html/ remove or rename com_contact

You need to config it with the K2 config setting
