    Hi,

I am running Jreviews on JA-rasite and when I run the test on:

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets

It gives an error: insufficient data to generate.

Changing to the default Joomla theme works fine.

Can someone help me to see what’s causing the problem?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have checked and could see that your question relates to specific customizations and requires to re-change your whole markup structure. Really sorry that such request exceeds the scope of our service.

Please refer to some code snippets that might help you on this via: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=99170 or hire a good developer/ webmaster who is good at Joomla to help you get the desired effect (you can look for good developer/ webmaster via Joomlancers.com, a reliable freelance site: Joomlancers.com, another network of JoomlArt as i personally recommend as thousands of projects have succeeded on this site).

    Hi,

I’ve seen several site that use RA-site on J1.5 and it works fine for them.

    http://www.sgbuyonline.com/online-shops/114-swarovski-crystal-jewelry-by-lush
    http://www.sgcateringweb.com/singapore-caterers/175-purple-sage-creative-catering

Jreviews has the required code snippet for rich snippet to work. I changed the theme to default Joomla theme on J1.6.3 and run the test and it works, however changing back to RA-site, it throws that error.. so I’m not sure what’s causing the error in Ra-site.

I’m happy to drop a donation to someone in Joomlart to fix this rather than outsourcing to a freelancer.

Tried downloading and using other JA theme for J1.6 and the rich snippet still did not work.

Looks like the JAT framework for J1.6 has a compatibility issue with Google rich snippet.

    Someone please help

    Hi,

That’s the example that I mentioned that is working on other site running Joomla 1.5

    Here is my site: http://bit.ly/lq4Z9x

I’ve tested with a few Joomlart template for Joomla 1.6.3 and it is not working too. I suspect could be the JAT3 plugin itself is having the problem.

    Hi
I have checked your URL on google snippet. It seems to be out of our scope of service.

Why is it out of scope? I’m using a Joomlart template and the problem seems to be only existing in T3 plugin for Joomla 1.6.

Please give me your admin details so i can check if problem with JA template. If it is confirm that problem with JA template then it is raised to JA developer

    I’ve PMed you the details.

    Thanks.

I’ve tried other non JA templates and it works fine. Even the standard out of the box Joomla template have no issue with Google Rich Snippet.

However switching back to JA templates (tried a few of the J1.6 ones) and all of them did not work.

    Hi,

It looks like a bug. It has been raised for testing and fix. >> http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAECPLGTIIIJOOMLAIVI-139

It may take some time to analyze and fix the same.

    Regards

    Arvind

    Thanks Arvind!

Glad that it’s been reported as a bug. I’ve sent amita a PM this morning to elaborate on the issue saying:

    – I’ve tried other Joomlart themes for Joomla 1.6.3 and all of them have the same problem with Google Rich Snippet.
    – I’ve tried using other provider template and Joomla default template on J1.6.3 and it works fine.
    – I’ve seen it working on other site using Joomlart template running on J1.5 and it works fine.

    Conclusion:
    – Seems like the Joomlart T3 for joomla 1.6 has a bug that prevent google rich snippet from processing.

Arvind: Just wondering has anyone had a chance to look into this bug yet? Been keeping an eye on this on the bug tracker but seems pretty quiet.

    Hi milsirhc

Could you please provided admin & ftp account via support ticket?

I installed & checked JReview into JA-Rasite and it works normally with Rich Snippets Testing Tool.
