    Hi everyone,

I keep getting this error message when I try to crawl the site maps.

Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.

Does anyone know what do I need to do to fix it…?

    Thank you.

I was digging for more information yesterday, after I made this post, and seems even simpler, you have to generate an .xlm file and here I found the instructions on how to do so: http://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.html. I also found this video that shows related instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmLZ3wwNWfA he suggest to use an external website to generate the file, but I don’t think you need it if you have an small website, however I found the instructions helpful.

In case this doesn’t work, there are multiple extensions to choose from @ JED, have you guys tested anyone in particular that will work better with the T3 Frame work and your templates, or can you recommend one…???

    Thank you…!

Finally made it work, and let me share what I did to save you a day’s worth of reading instructions, its actually very simple.

First, don’t make the mistake I made trying to tell Google that the Site map is your URL, if you do it will give you an error message the tric is that its only looking for the http://website.com/sitemap.xml file.

I used this website to generate mine, https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ its free and it doesn’t ask you for logins or passwords.

Once it generates the file for you, download the .xml file. Open it adjust the priority according to your needs, bear in mind that the max value is 1.0 and bellow, e.g. .90, .70 ect.

Hope this saves you some time.

    Regards,
