I’ve been trolling this forum from time to time, always being nudged by the quaint system message at the top of the page that lets me kindly know I should make a post.

The message seems harmless enough, although I keep picturing this beautifully clad gisha with a porcelin smile a little too wide, encouraging me to take part, while deep in the back of my mind, something seems just wrong about the whole circumstance, yet I can’t place my finger on it.

Paranoia. Don’t leave home.

So I’m a self-proclaimed web designer, and have known about mambo/joomla for quite some time, but always felt too proud to use it; as if not coding my own webpages would be a discredit to my profession and the ‘web designer police’ may come get me and charge me with taking the ‘easy way out’ of web design.

In any case, I’m still working on customizing my own templates, but in the meantime, I needed a few here and there for sites I am now working on, and I haven’t had the time, nor the want, to figure out the whole template system right this moment.

Oh, I could go on and on, but no sense boring anyone. Look forward to trolling and not having to deal with the happy little message that I have never posted before.

Hi Rogue4ngel,
Welcome on JA board! So it’s nice to know you as a web designer. JA forum is much more than a customer support system but a place where people can share experience and help each other. I am always like the idea of “coding my own webpages”, or at least have someone coded for me :p but when Joomla (firstly known as Mambo) hit me, I know I will not be able to have a better system at any cost.
And that is also the way JoomlArt is setting up and I am now happy with what we are doing here where I and the team can save you time on sites that you are working on.
You have been working on Joomla and this is your first post, I believe you must be an expert (no question to ask?) so we will expect your frequence on the forum and share your skills with us 🙂
