As an ex Club member I would like to update a couple of the templates I planned to use during my membership period – but never did – from Joomla 1.0.x to native 1.5.x. The templates I have in mind to try again are: JA Zibal; JA Pollaris; JA Pollux; JA Bellatrix; JA Spica; and JA Altair. The more recent templates are less suited to my needs.

Has anyone written a guide on converting JS templating code from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5? What I was looking for was something similar to the tutoral that RocketThemes have on converting its RokWebify template as an example to conversion of all the RocketThemes templates.

If there is such a guide here it would make it worth paying for a new membership just for that!

Actually all of them requires a club membership, if you check the free templates you dont see this names there:
JA Zibal; JA Pollaris; JA Pollux; JA Bellatrix; JA Spica; and JA Altair.

    Thanks for the reply.

I searched the site but couldn’t find the Joomla 1.5 versions of these templates mentioned anywhere until you posted the direct link to one of them.

The Template Club pages: for Bellatrix, for example, shows a date of December 2006, well before Joomla 1.5 was released. There is no mention anywhere that I could find that mentioned that these templates had been updated!

I even searched for update and 1.0, and 1.5, but because you lock most of the forums rather than just preventing non-club members from posting I found nothing!

I seriously suggest that you review and update all of your Template Club and free template pages to indicate whether the template is Joomla 1.0.x, 1.5.x, compatable, and also cover Mambo 4.5 too. It would also be very useful to have the template version or last updated date included to cover patch releases.

The next question is what is the paid member policy for downloads of updates to templates obtained during the subscription period? I guess I need to join the Template Club again?

    Thanks
    Mike
