July 13, 2008 at 6:15 am #130792Hi
Looks like Teline II is not compatible with Jooma’s built in Gzip Page Compression.
Joomla can run faster if Gzip Compression is enabled.
When I enable, Gzip , Teline II responds ” The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression”
Then it displays error messages at the top of the home page .
Looks like a major bug with Teline II
Anyone with similar experiences ?

July 15, 2008 at 7:52 am #259838Hi Menalto
I tried Gzip with Joomla 1.0 1nd Teline II.Its ok
But when I tried the following combination:
Gzip+Joomla SEO( enabled ) + SH404SEF enabled…. SH404 did not initially create the “rewritten urls”.
Then I disabled everything …then tried again…now it works.
Btw, Gzip with PageCache 2.1 with SH404SEF( Joomla SEO also enabled ) makes the site run much faster !.Seems the 3 are a potent combination!

It would be good to know more details of your experiences Peter. What works, do not work, and under what conditions. Please write them down, as much detail, share them with me, and we can place them in the “Tutorials”.
So, have you actually tried it with Joomla 1.5x then? I have not looked recently but if I am not mistaken, the CB is still v1.2RC, while native is still not the “stable” version.
