December 1, 2008 at 9:05 am #280847bennitos;92894As far as being told to me when i asked YES, developers can still remove copyright tho.
Free Non-Profit domains are scrapped in total for current and for new members, they promised i would have an reply from them about this issue in pm but weeks later no response. Thanks Bennitos but I’m not talking about a developers license*. I’m talking about someone who bought a template license last year (before Sept’). They would have been allowed remove the copyright information and license 3 domains. Under the new licensing agreement template club members are NOT allowed alter copyright info and can license only 2 domains.
My question is if these people now renew their subscription – are they licensed under their original agreement or the new one?
*Developer License users can remove all reference to Joomlart and are unrestricted regarding domains.

December 5, 2008 at 5:25 am #281351As JA Larix now packaged with VirtueMart eCommerce bundle for free does it still require verifying? or count as a used template for club members.

Confusing licensed of 3 domain.
When renew then become 2, what happend to the other one?
It will be registered under unlisenced domain?
What reason that have to tell to the domain owner as promised?
I hope that it will licensed under the original agreement when renew the licensed.tonyg Friendtonyg

This is a good question and one that requires an answer from JA to clarify the situation. I hope whatever the copyright agreement was when you joined it remains the same when you renew your membership, otherwise I for one will have to think twice about renewing when the time comes.

December 5, 2008 at 4:07 pm #281453Sorry, thats what i ment with “As far as being told to me when i asked YES”
Regarding to what has been said before when you renew you will fall under the NEW licence agreement. Wich means NOT allowed to alter copyright. This is only what i have read in other topics replied by JA staff. I think its time JA puts out an official message to answer all our questions.

December 5, 2008 at 6:39 pm #281471Actually the more I think about it must be that people who renew their license get 2 additional domains.
In the FAQ… “all registered and verified domains are life-time licensed. ”
So I would presume when a member does renew their membership they have the 3 domain licenses they already own + 2 (or 3) more.
This must be the case? Otherwise I will be renewing on a new account. 😀
My domain settings say 1 of 3 domains set. Can someone who has already renewed see if theirs says 1 of 5?

I have renewed once and mine says 1 of 5.But if it is true as the original post says:

Why then does it not say 1 of 6 (3+3) This whole thing is not very clear, rather confusing.

December 6, 2008 at 1:56 pm #281562I says 1 of 5 because you must have renewed after September and so only get +2 domains instead of +3.
From a business point of view I would have thought it would make much more sense to increase the license fee rather than reduce the product. As a customer I would have much preferred an 8-10% price rise than a 33% product reduction. Makes no sense to me at all.

December 6, 2008 at 2:19 pm #281563Sometimes that is what happens. They reduce the product first, then when you get used to the smaller product, they raise the price.
December 30, 2008 at 10:07 am #284320I have previously had a developers licence and used over 60 templates for my websites and clients. All these domains have been lodged in the last year in my members area as per your instructions.
Why are these domains now showing as ‘unverified’ and when I click on the unverified link, it states I have to put html code into each site to verify the licence.
Firstly, this wasn’t a condition of my developers licence and most of the sites I don’t have access too anymore as clients move-on and handle their websites themselves or with a third party designer/programmers.
Please explain????

Please let me point out the domains are LICENSED, just not VERIFIED. This is not a requirement to use our products on your website.

December 30, 2008 at 5:45 pm #284346Are we allowed to remove the license file after verification?

So why have verification if it isn’t a requirement to use templates on licenced domains?
