So I’m using the JA Quillaja template for the main site and I want to have another template almost exactly the same as the Quullaja but with different backgrounds, colors, images, etc… a “female” version of my “male” dominant site.

I would think the easiest way to do is to just add another template but when I try to load another Quilaja template it says that I’m about to overwrite the existing template. How do I overcome this?

You need to rename the template in the xml file and in index.php

While renaming the the domain and index.php file are one way I would think a better solution would be to set up a sub-domain.

Another method would be not to duplicate the whole template but to add a second style (female css-file) in your template. You can then choose the approriate css depending on menu item.
