I have, I think, setup the breadcrumbs module correctly in ‘navhelper’ position but I don’t see any ‘navhelper’ position in the template layout and no breadcrumbs are showing.

I have setup Chinese (Simplified) as a language but I don’t see any language switcher module. I activated the plugins.

Sorry: I have just realised that this thread is for the Uber Template forum. How to move it?

    Hi Tim,

You can close this topic and create a new topic in Uber forum.

For your question, which block does ‘navhelper’ position belong to? If, it doesn’t belong to any block at this moment, you can create a new block and load that block into the layout you’re using on your site. For example, I see that you’re using ‘home-business’ layout for the homepage, so you can open the template file: /tpls/home-business.php and load new created block there

Check out this documentation for more info: http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/bs3-layout-system#define-block

@saguaros Thanks, navhelper position is for the breadcrumbs module in Teline V so I assume the same for Uber? It;s odd that the position is listed in modules manager but not included in the template.

BTW I have had to add ‘images’ field to the db for _menu _categories _contact details etc on this quickstart install. Why do they get missed out?

Could you send me screenshot of the missing field? is it missed in backend settings?

When I try to add, for example, a new category or menu I get an error which says the related db table is missing a field called ‘images’ So I add an ‘images’ field and the error goes away. I reported this on Teline V forum too many months ago. Sorry, I can’t find a screen grab.

It’s long topic but as I can see the problem you’re facing is from the quickstart package but without sample data, right?

If using quickstart and not install sample data, it failed the idea and the usefulness of this package. If you don’t want the sample data, then you should install Joomla package and install template/extension.

Correct but I’ve had the missing ‘images’ field problem even when building from Joomla + Uber or Teline V template instead of from quickstarts.

Here are steps I proceed in a test site:

    • Download Joomla 3.4.8 and install
    • Download Uber template and all complimentary and install: Uber, T3 framework plugin, JA ACM module, …
    • In backend > create a new category but it works properly: http://prntscr.com/9o9tkx

If you even face this issue in fresh installation of Joomla, then I guess there is something wrong from your own server with Joomla because this feature (create new category/menu) relates to core Joomla instead of template.

You can try with another installation with different server which supports recommended system requirement for J!3.x

The host servers I use most often are Site Ground and 1and1. Both claim to be ‘perfect’ for Joomla, WP, Drupal etc. Just had a bundle of missing ‘images’ field on a ja-biz site (quickstart install) on a 1and1 server.

So there maybe something wrong with 1and1 as I tried in different hosts but it still works – Quickstart with Sample Data & Joomla fresh + Uber template

    Here we go again:

Error Save failed with the following error: Unknown column ‘images’ in ‘field list’ SQL=INSERT INTO kyjgu_j2xml_websites (checked_out_time,id,title,remote_url,username,password,state,images) VALUES (‘0000-00-00 00:00:00′,’0′,’uber-biz.gpmnews.com/’,’http://uber-biz.gpmnews.com/‘,’admintim’,’xxxxx’,’1′,'{\”image_intro\”:null,\”image_intro_alt\”:null}’)

On a Hong Kong server. http://uber-biz.composestore.com/

Again, please install quickstart WITH SAMPLE DATA or install Joomla with Uber template, I tried many times but can’t replicate this issue.

This site was created from a quickstart with Business template Joomlart install so it had demo content, I think. Look at all the unpublished menus (below) . It was then backed up with Akeeba and Restored on the Hong Kong server. Both sites have had this problem.

    Here are steps I proceed:

    • Install Quickstart of Uber
    • Install Sample Data for Uber Business:

    http://cl.ly/2u1h3p3n003y

    • Create new category:

    http://cl.ly/1h3f1Y0j173Y

    There is no error there.

@saguaros These are Quicktime videos ?

I’ll try to emulate on my SiteGround server to see if I can generate any error. If I can I’ll make a backup for you to grab. 🙂

Meanwhile here is another uber-app test site where I just tried to add a menu type and got:

1054 Unknown column ‘images’ in ‘field list’ SQL=INSERT INTO fxvwq_menu_types (id,menutype, title, description, images) VALUES (‘0′,’app-off-canvas’,’app-off-canvas’,”,'{\"image_fulltext\":null,\"image_intro\":null}’)

    http://uber-app.gpmnews.com/

I made this site from Joomla 3 then installed Uber template, etc., without demo content and created JA ACM modules from scratch. I was just now trying to add a menu for displaying the app menu in Off Canvas position. However, I eventually realised that I needed to make a module of type menu to do it, which I have done.

The Akeeba backup is < 55MB. Should you wish to download it to investigate I can PM the FTP details.

    Tim
