In the sample, leftcol-deco1.gif has dimension (150×33). I replace the image with my bigger dimension image say 150×100 and it is overlapping the menu part. Where can I tell it to display above the line of the content-bg?

Please modify this style in template_css.css

margin-top: 18px;
padding-top: 30px;
overflow: hidden;
}
You also need to modify images: content-bg1.gif, content-bg.gif, content-narrow-bg.gif
