Hi People,
Could someone please explain the instructions below to me ? “Another Header image” ?
Does this refer to Taking other Graphics and naming them the same as the existing ones and saving to the Template/JAZibal/images/red + image name ?
😮To add another header images, go to the 20th line and add the name of the image to the array $ja_header_images. You should add the file with the same name to every folder of the color you are using (located at folder “ja_zibal/images/color name”).
October 11, 2006 at 10:01 pm #210970Well Terence, I’ve just been adding some header images. You can either choose to use your own file names to be put in the dir Template/JAZibal/images/colourname en put the corresponding file names in the index.php on line 20, or name your images like sh01.jpg – shXX.jpg and replace the default images with your images. I’ve done both and may images were displayed.
October 11, 2006 at 10:21 pm #210972Since I also have a question related to the header images, I’ll just put it in this thread.
As I just said, I have saved a number of header images in the image directory and named them resp. sh01.jpg to sh04.jpg. In the index.php I have defined the images in line 20.
How can I make sure that my header images are related to certain menu items? Can somebody explain how this works?
I am using the transmenu has navigation menu.
I now have the situation where a number of submenu items under a single mainmenu item have different header images assigned. I’d like all submenu’s to have the same header image assigned. Some mainmenu items are working fine though (so all submenu items have the same header image as the mainmenu item).
This is what I have:
Main menu1 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 1 -sh01.jpg
– submenu 2 -sh02.jpg
– submenu 3 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 4 -sh04.jpgThis is what I want:
Main menu1 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 1 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 2 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 3 -sh03.jpg
– submenu 4 -sh03.jpgPlease help

October 11, 2006 at 10:40 pm #210973The easiest thing you can do is copy the same picture to the different jpg files.
Good luck!
October 12, 2006 at 6:00 am #210976This isn’t a solution because I have multiple mainmenu items with submenus. And If I would copy the same picture in each .jpg file (or give the same file different names 😉 ) I’d end up having the same header image for each menu item.
Bottom line is that I would like to know how the header images (defined in line 20 in the index.php) are linked to the menu’s. Is it by Category, Section or is there a relation between the order in which the menu items are displayed on the page and the order in which the header files are defined in the index.php?

Just have a look at the site I’m referring to: alten.dumb.nl
Check out the menu “ORGANISATIE” and you’ll see the same header image while clicking on eacht submenu. Now checkout “DIENSTEN” and you’ll see a different header image for each sub menu. How come?</blockquote>
Hi dadario, and thank you or your clarification, seems like you and i want the same thing from this template. Also watch topic : http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/3-columns/

October 15, 2006 at 6:10 pm #211027Hi All,
Sorry for getting back to you this late, have been too busy with JA Kruger :((
The header images are loaded in consequence with the order of the main menu items.
Eg: If you have 10 menu and 10 images, you will have each menu items with each different images. If you have 10 menu items and 5 images, the 6th menu items will have the same image as the1st menu.Note: the header are applied to main menu items only and work seperately with each color. It means that you can even assign 50 images for 10×5=50 menu items 😉
Hope this is clear enough.

I understand that you’ve been busy. And I realy appreciate your support.
As you describe it, that’s exactly how I’d expect it to work. But to me it’s still not clear how I can explain the behaviour of the header images in relation with the sub menu items.
I have 4 different images (only in selected color RED). 6 main menu items, where each mainmenu items has submenu items (transmenu’s?). When clicking the main menu items I get all header images as expected (so when clicking the 5th main menu item I get header img 1 again)! When looking at the 2nd menu item from the left I get the same (2nd) header image for each sub item that drops down from this main menu item. This is what I expect!
But when clicking on the sub items under the 3rd menu item (from the left) I get different images:
3rd Main item: sh03.jpg (OK)
-1sub item: sh01.jpg
-1sub item: sh02.jpg
-1sub item: sh03.jpg
-1sub item: sh04.jpg
-1sub item: sh03.jpgCan you explain this? Thanks in advance.

Did you ever find a solution for this? Or just how the pattern works?
