Edenite v.1.4 for Joomla 1.5
🙂September 23, 2008 at 5:05 pm #271930I just purchased and installed the template yesterday as well and have the same basic question. How do you get the logo, the slogan and the login box to display? I have spent all day on it and I have NO IDEA how to get it to work.
I am using Joomla 1.5.
Thanks,
Doug

September 24, 2008 at 9:50 pm #272146Have you changed the logo type on the top from “Text” to “Image”?
Try this:
Go to Extensions menu -> Template Manager -> Select your Template and click Edit, you will see the first option as “Logo Type” and change it to Image.
Hope this works.

September 24, 2008 at 10:08 pm #272147I figured mine out. I am new to Joomla and I just could not see the Logo behind the Newsfeed. I removed the Newsfeed and voila… it was there 🙂
Thanks!

September 26, 2008 at 11:05 pm #272584i unpublished all of the news feeds and have the logo set to image but there is still a banner there with the text ” The one thing about a Web site, it always changes! Joomla! makes it easy to add Articles, content, images, videos, and more. Site administrators can edit and manage content ‘in-context’ by clicking the ‘Edit’ link. Webmasters can also edit content through a graphical Control Panel that gives you complete control over your site.
i cant find it to get rid of it
*** found it*** its the top module position
thanks

Mine shows “text” but the newsfeed is gone…forgot how I did that. It still leaves the questions.. how to use the newsfeed, and can it appear elsewhere?I am experimenting with the settings again, and need to change permissions because I get this error:
The parameter file /templates/ja_edenite/params.ini is unwritable!
Upon trying to change the permissions, I get:
/templates/ja_edenite/params.ini – Unable to change permission, file has different UID (398)
Not been abe to find an explanation/understanding for this error. Does anyone know?
Thanks,

September 27, 2008 at 3:58 am #272631Where the newsfeed shows up is the place where the log in should be, so you simply need to find another place to put the newsfeed.
If you have problems with the params.ini file it can help if you enable the FTP layer in global configuration.1 user says Thank You to Menalto for this useful post

September 29, 2008 at 12:59 pm #273040You mean enable FTP settings? I don’t see FTP layer anywhere.
