Hi there. My site is http://www.c1systems.co.uk and I’ve been having a problem with it ever since it’s inception.

Around 50% of the time, in Internet Explorer only, the header will jump out of place and to the left slightly. I have modified it to have my logo in, but I don’t think that’s causing this effect as the whole of the section moves across. The bit I don’t understand is why it does it sometimes and then not others – surely the code going into IE is exactly the same every time?

I’ve tested this on several computers with similar results, possibly varying in frequency but it’s difficult to tell. Below is a screenshot.

    Many thanks

    Simon

    My thoughts…

Try changing “GET AHEAD” from a Heading 1 to a Heading 3 style.
The H1 takes up just a miniscule more space than the H3…but it might be enough to force that type of seeming unpredictable push.

If that takes care of the problem, but you still want the H1 styling, then you just need to play with line 95 in template_css.

    Hi there

I did manage to solve this. Thanks for your response JBrett, although it was actually a problem with clearfix. I removed clearfix from the header sections in the CSS and the problem resolved itself, although strangely the Bottom Spotlight section then changed its layer order. In order to solve that I had to assign the background to each module as opposed to the whole botsl section.

If anyone else experiences this let me know and I’ll talk you through it.
