for some reason all 3 articles are showing up twice. Once above the ‘headline’ and under the scrolling ‘headline’ area.
I’d like to get it out of the top portion where its just the scrolling portion.
Ideas / Suggestions?

Do you have Joomla assigned to the Frontpage or just JA News? If Joomla is assigned to the Frontpage then they will show up before JA News.
May 17, 2007 at 6:43 pm #220209how u assign JA_News to the front page?
May 19, 2007 at 4:26 am #220332Go to the Site Module page = Site Module: Edit [ JA News ]
Under Menu Item Link(s):
Deselect : ALL
Select: MainMenu – Home
This way the JA News shows up just on the first pageShannonN FriendShannonN

May 19, 2007 at 11:58 am #220362Shannon – I dont think there was a need for your “read the manual” input especially after I had given details of how to fix the problem. Your comment adds no value.
I stated earlier that I think that the guides are not written well.
In the guide it says ” Disable Joomla! original frontpage ” with some instructions. A bit more detail in the guide would be to indicate what is meant by “original frontpage”.
Because of this – the way to do things might not be very clear for “newbies” like myself.
Maybe people that do not have english as a first language might find the guides to be confusing as well. The reason that people are HERE is because they had a problem finding the information they needed. This problem can come from the fact that the manual might not be clear.
Think about this – if the Theme is presented in one way in the Demo then why have have it pre-configured with all plugins so that it looks the way that it does in the Demo?
So my request of people is to either help or at least not respond with “Read the manual” or “Use Google”.
May 19, 2007 at 12:12 pm #220363Shannon – more on my comment that the manual is “not good enough”.
Take for example the question “How to enable Headline”
This took me about an hour to figure out.
The question was asked inhttp://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/headline-not-showing/
Why not add the answers from these questions to the manual and improve the manual?
