Please help: This is a right mess and I dont know how to sort it out spent 3 hours already.

My top menu is not showing up – how do I enable?
MooTabs – cannot find this in the modules (user guide says this is automatically within template)
Would like to a search box on all pages above JA news but it does not show up
Code appears in my video module
How do I save / enable pictures in the modules?

you need to have intermediate skills to use this template, so your best approach is to use the email support system

for the top menu
navigate to
/templates/ja_teline_ii/ja_vars_1.5.php

find this line in //Main navigation

$japarams->set( 'menutype', $tmpTools->getParam('menutype', 'magazine') );

change it to

$japarams->set( 'menutype', $tmpTools->getParam('menutype', 'mainmenu') );

for the tabs there is no module
just assign your modules that you want in the tabs to position 6. you need to assign 2 or more modules to position 6 for the tab to work. Be advised, that if you have other components installed that use mootools, they will probably conflict causing the tabs not to work at all. There is no work around if this is the case.

what pictures are you referring to, the highslide module gallery?

as for the video issue, I do not see code, just a black box.

As this is a new site, it would really be best for you to install the quikstart package, every thing would be all set up for you and you would not have to go through this debugging

Hi Elaine

Before you start changing any code, you may wish to install the ‘Quick Start’ package for Telline II and all the sample data. This will give you a duplicate of the Telline II demo site.

Here you can see the demo site and what you will get to modify:

From this, it’s much easier to edit the existing menus, sections, categories, articles and banners than to start from scratch and try and build an entire site (as you have started.)

Here is some information on installing the Quick Start package:

If you do this, and you have a working model of the Telline II demo site, you will find it much easier to modify this to your own needs, and also much easier for everyone here to offer you advice!

Sorry to keep asking questions. I am using Hostgator and I have already installed Joomla through their system. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall again using quicktime? Thanks x

Hi Elaine

Forget QuickTime! This is only an Apple Video player.

Go through the QuickStart install, this will install the latest version of Joomla and the template with demo content. Once you’ve done that, we can help you customise the demo site into what you require.

Any problems, just ask!
