Help. Mega Menus and every other menu type, except split, have stopped working. This behavior began yesterday. Important information (contacts, advertising, etc.) is hidden without the ability for menus to unfold. How do I quickly resolve this?

Hi ithacaindy,
I’ve accessed your site and seems that the problem comes from the javascript. Maybe it lacks of jquery file. Could you set the compress JS to ‘No’ in Backend > Template Manager > Your_Template > Global tab > Css & Javascript Compress section ?. It’ll be easier to see the error.

I disabled Javascript Compression, which caused the menus to operate correctly. However, I don’t want to go without compression for long, since the site must withstand a crush of daily users.

Hi there,
It seems that the problem comes from the K2, it inserts wrong url of jQuery file, please try to replace the head.php attached file in following dir:

plugins/system/jat3/jat3/core/head.php

please REMMEBER to keep backup of original file (just in case)

Still doesn’t work. I backup the live head.php file, copy over the original head.php and turn on js join&minify — mega menus no longer work. turn off j&minify and the mega menus work again. What is the incorrect URL? Perhaps simply changing that will do the trick?

I put an bandaid on the problem by deactivating K2, making the menus work properly with Javascript Join&Minify.

Hi there,
You can try to set K2 to load jQuery from local only by going to K2 component > Parameters > Set “JQuery Library handelling” and “Backend JQuery & JQuery UI handeling” to load from local like this thread from K2 forum
