When I open my site using IE the menu module seems to get pushed down to below content pane level. Its like there isn’t enough space to accommodate the menu module in its position, and it sort of falls back to ‘below’ main content pane. I do not have this trouble in Firefox or Google Chrome.

I didn’t have any trouble before. I think the problem was triggered when I tried messing around with my template settings in the back end. The original template width was set to ‘Specified in percentage (fluid)’ and the value was 97. I changed this to 100, and I think this is when it got messed up. Changing it back to 97 does not seem to bring it back to how it was. I seem to have triggered an irreversible change.

I restored menu.css and template.css backups but to no avail.

Any idea what I can do to fix this problem?

    My website is http://www.snapshotbasket.com

    Hi Rizwan1983

I would say just from looking at the screen that your main content div needs to be reduced as it’s overlapping the menu div.

This causes the menu to float downwards rather than stay at the top.

Once you reduce your main content div you should see your menu return to where it was.

    Thanks

    Hi.

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you please tell me how I can do this? That is, which number to change and where? I’ve tried playing with the parameters in the css file myself but I’ve been unable to get the right one.

Rather than resizing the main content pane, can someone tell me how I can reduce the width of my menu module? It seems a little wide, and perhaps that might also solve the problem.

I still haven’t figured out why it works fine in Firefox and Chrome but not in IE. Why is there a difference here?

Thanks. But I’ve finally managed to solve the problem I think.

I restored my index.php file fixed the problem and restored the site to normal condition.

I find it strange that the trouble was not in any of the css files, which I also restored but to no effect.

    Thanks anyway for the interest.

    Cheers!
