August 11, 2016 at 5:56 pm #959162Hi There – My site is http://www.ourdogsmedia.co.uk
I have been having trouble with this icon issue for a while and have been looking at the thread at lot!!
I’ve tried everything that your colleague said in the post but nothing worked exacltly right as yet…The best I have at the moment is a blue facebook icon BUT without the Facebook logo please see 1st attached image & site homepage.
To sum up what I have done is overwrite the ja_healthcare/fonts/flaticon files, with a pack I downloaded from ‘Flaticon’ this pack had a FONT FOLDER but not all do! Which included all the .flaticon-facebook codes needed to display on my site in a .css file
Finally do I just use the files inside the fonts/flaticon folder or do I also upload the icons images from the Icon pack to a certain folder as well??
Please Advise

August 11, 2016 at 7:50 pm #959182OK I see code, hopefully my browser will update some time soon as I do not see the icons on my screen as yet in google chrome?
BUT in regard to one of my questions***When downloading from flaticon does it have to be a pack firstly (or can I download single icons to use) & Secondly does the pack have to have the FONT folder with css files etc inside the download as most of the packs Do Not include this FONT folder…

August 12, 2016 at 3:22 pm #959532Hi
If you do not have already a custom.css file in this folder /templates/ja_healthcare/css/ then add a new one and add into file
.blog-department .flaticon::before, .blog-department .flaticon::after { color:#yourcolor!important; }
You cannot remove color otherwise icon will disappear

August 16, 2016 at 3:59 pm #960503Hi & Thanks – I now understand they can’t be individually different colors being flaticon’s.
But as I need them to be Facebook, Twitter, YouTube logos (with different colours) How can I get them to display in the departments boxes (as per the homepage layout) via the articles??
I’ve added an image in the article and tried in the ‘Images and links’ TAB but nothing seems to work!
Can you please advise
Thanks.

You cannot – css file that manages icons cannot set each icon with a different color , it has a unique background.
You can have it customizing css that manages backgrounds but this will require an hard custom work , you can hire a developer or ask for Joomlart help from THIS PAGE

I am now not trying to use icons but as images.
I did it some how the other day by adding an image .jpg in a article.
But now cannot seem to get it to work…
Hope this makes sense.

August 18, 2016 at 5:24 pm #961177Hi
Yes i received it , what you are trying to obtain due to the module configuration is not possible to do , i’m wondering why you do not want to apply flat icons pack at it , as you can see from HERE you can choose any icon you want , change color to it or choose from an already done pack as showed HERE then add it to your collection and download it as i showed in the previous post.
