    Hello,

I am a new member, and I just downloaded JA Rutile, on my local machine Win XP that is setup with WAMP. I ran the quick start install, the template comesup but i am getting some error messages:

    1. On the top of the front page it says: “Warning: get_class() expects parameter 1 to be object, null given in C:wampwwwjoomlatemplatesja_rutileja_menusBase.class.php on line 50”

    2. On the front page in the news module, the same error message is repeated 6 times error: “Deprecated: Function split() is deprecated in C:wampwwwjoomlamodulesmod_janewsmod_janews.php on line 46”

    3. The JA news module doesnt show images even though it is set to on the module settings. The JA news module settings page contains the folowing error “Deprecated: Function split() is deprecated in C:wampwwwjoomlamodulesmod_janewselementsjaparamhelper.php on line 89”

    4. my last question is how do i change the layout from Left col + Content + Right column to Content + right column where the right coloumn is 350px width (I would like this to be the default layout even for the home page)

I would appreciate any help on this.

    Thank you in advance

I think that you should install new PHP Server, try to use the XAMPP.
And then back to this thread and post your issue (if have)

tienhc, thanks for the recommendation, i have installed xampp, issue number (2) disappeared… but
    * i am still getting “Warning: get_class() expects parameter 1 to be object, null given in C:xampphtdocsjoomlatemplatesja_rutileja_menusBase.class.php on line 50”
    * The JA news module doesnt show images even though it is set to on the module settings
    * the layout is messed up on IE6 through 8 and Chrome browser BUT it shows up fine on Firefox

    Any ideas?
