Hello,
EDIT: I need now to vary the layout sequence of ja_news to horizontal order/orientation – please see my second post

I am trying to do a little hack to blog_item.php from the mod_janews construct (Joomla 1.5.7)

SOLVED
I simply need to know how to pickup (as a Variable) the joomla current TEMPLATE folder – where I wish to pickup an icon image.
… even the $live_site from the configuration.php would do…

I have searched the joomla docs to the point where the beard on my face is even more grey and an inch longer…:-[
….I got as far as: http://api.joomla.org/Joomla-Framework/Environment/JURI.html
… but I am stu**ed if I know how to use…:confused:

If any of the JA coding geniuses could save me more pain, I would be VERY grateful.

Sorry, am unable to show a live instance at this stage…
Attached is a pic of where am going with this.

I solved my problem by simply copying my set of number icons to joomla-root/images/num

Now I just have to try and make mod_janews (blog.php) put category items on the page like this:
1 2 3
4 5 6

– and NOT
1 3 5
2 4 6

Reordering categories in the mod_janews module params… (from within Joomla Admin)… does not do it.
So, it is into the LOOPS of mod_janews.php and blog.php I go hunting now…
