    Hello,

    I’m a little upset with this template. I joined the club, JUST FOR THIS TEMPLATE.

    Anyhow, their are a few parts to the footer of this template and I’m having real problems trying to get the the whole thing to stay at the bottom of the page.

    #ja-footer
    #ja-botsl
    div# .wrap ja-pathway

    These are all part of the footer for Sulfer. And I have no clue how to get the whole footer to remain on the bottom of the page. This is a terrible way to design when your footer is constantly moving up and down depending on the content. Poor.

    Anyhow, I am hoping someone could assist with specifics of how to get the whole footer and path to stick.

    I would appreciate any help that anyone could provide. I did manage to get the whole thing to stay down using position:absolute; . However, this is not the answer of course, when you add content it goes straight through your footer.

    Anyhow, any assistance appreciated. This is the lastest ja_sulfter template.

    Hi rjspence

    I think it is not problem. Will all templates, the footer is displaying the same.

    For your case, if your content is very short, you can add a height to your content. At that time, the footer will display as your suitable.

    Hope it helps.

    Hello JA,

    So to recap, you are suggesting that for Joomla pages like logins and retrieve passwords, redirect messages etc.. to fill up the pages with content?

    The answer doesn’t suggest wisdom to me. However, I still believe that there should be some simple code that would enable the footer to stick correctly and align correctly in all browsers. I don’t think this would be all that difficult to do if the designer would have created the footer to contain all the images. But instead, we have at least 3 images in the footer that are in no way attached. Adding content to stretch pages shouldn’t be the answer. This isn’t my first web site JA. I’m double your age and have been doing this along time. There should be some css that will allow for having the footer stick on all pages correctly. The code needs defined for this template specifically, as it has multiple graphics in the footer. The code should be implemented by your team so it could be supported.

    I’ve implemented the following, but it hasn’t been tested.

    html, body {
    height:100%;
    }
    #ja-container {
    min-height:100%;
    position:relative;
    }
    #ja-container-f {
    min-height:100%;
    position:relative;
    }
    #ja-content {
    padding-bottom:60px;
    }
    #ja-footer {
    bottom:0;
    height:55px;
    }

    min-heights need compensated for headers etc.. and might need altered.

    For years I’ve provided my own “best answers”. Although I’ve asked for better from others. This tends to be a lonely process when you have “others” taking the easy way out all the time instead of suggesting a way to resolve situations, or looking into them so they can be resolved.

    You have 2,547 posts and have only been thanked 668 times as of the time of this writing. I would be looking for ways to improve that ratio.

    Thanks rjspence.

    Make up your mind!

    no that’s not what was suggested. JA Developer suggested you use the ‘height’ attribute to your css/html. With all your experience I thought you’d know that!

    Anyway, answer here.

    Anyone can add to their post Scott. Just like someone keeps removing the link that I clicked to mark best answer.

    I’m not saying anything anymore. Period. I’ll keep it to myself. Your answer link points to http://tinyurl.com/yja9afg . Please post answers that you can provide. There are strict guidlines for what urls can be reached from this office. If you don’t have an answer, cannot provide an answer, or just don’t want to give an answer.. that is fine. But please don’t link to an outside resources. It’s bad web etiquette.

    Thanks you,

    Rick[/quote]If you bothered to search these forums or if you bothered to search Google, you will find thousands of pages explaining how to keep the footer to the bottom of the page. Since there are thousands of pages explaining this all ready, I don’t feel the need to create another one. Pointing to an outside resource is not in any way bad etiquette. You asked for an explanation on how to keep the footer at the bottom and you have been given several. Thread answered!
