Alright I am a little lost here… I have installed the template replaced the logo with mine. But when I make changes to anything but the images it will not display on the front end of the website.

For example I have deleted menu items and they are still displayed. I have changed the image for the slideshow image folder in the slideshow. It will not update. I have unpublished the slideshow module on the homepage and it is still being displayed.

What am I am missing here please help?

I just checked your site but I could see that it works ok. May be you are missing to clear cache when action changed on your site

You can clear cache from back-end site
