Hello,
I’ve followed the instructions but it’s still confusing me.
I’ve downloaded Rutile-file from Joomlart.com site and extracted the zip-files. Uploaded the 2 folders (ja_rutile_for Joomla and ja_rutile_source) using FTP to http://www.mydomain.com/subdirectory.
How do I start installing? Can’t find a good manual.
Cheers!

March 22, 2009 at 5:50 pm #297326If you have downloaded the ja_Rutile_for_joomla_1.5.v1.0. then follow these steps :
1. Unzip the file first.
2. Open the Quickstart folder. You will see one more zip file. named qs_j159_ja_rutile.zip.
3. Either you can extract it on your machine and upload it to your subdirectory. or
4. Upload the qs_j159_ja_rutile.zip and unzip it on your server using cpanel or anyother contorl panel you have.I hope rest you know like installing it using web installer or making a database and user credentials.
Or if you have already installed joomla and wish to install just the template :
use the tpl_rutile_j15.zip from the “templates” folder of the zip file you downloaded and install it from your joomla admin at Extensions >> install/uninstall

March 22, 2009 at 5:54 pm #297327Another way of installing template is to use FTP.
1. Unzip the qs_j159_ja_rutile.zip on your machine and from the folder “templates” your will see another zip file which is your template, unzip it and then upload the folder to your joomla root inside the templates folder.
your_site_root/templates/
Hope it helps. Let us know if its resolved.

Joomla 1.5 has already been installed. By installing qs_j159_ja_rutile.zip does this mean that it will overwrite existing data and files? :((
I really had something different in mind during purchasing. Not that confusing or complicated.
I’ve read the instructions at http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-install-joomla-quickstart-package/ but even that didn’t work.I suggest – to avoid confusions – the developer teams has to reorganize the (zip)files that makes installing easy and clear.

March 22, 2009 at 7:11 pm #297334My mistake. messed with folders in my earlier post.
To just install the template into your existing joomla. After unzipping the qs_j159_ja_rutile.zip. You will see three folders namely 1. Extensions 2. Quickstart 3. Templates.
In the 3rd folder “templates” is the zip file which you can install using the install/uninstall feature in the joomla backend. This will just install the template without the demo data.
Extremely sorry about the mistake in my earlier post. Will edit it accordingly too.
