this is the error i am getting for some reason… i initially installed joomla ja edinite in a folder called joomla- while i was editing the template and building the site out… when i was done i just moved all the files into the root directory and out of the joomla folder— everything is working fine on the front end…all page’s are fine… i went to administrator to log into the backend and this is the error i am getting… any idea’s ? ? ?

i have gone in and gone throughout the directory and set the permissions to ” 777 ” …

Do you have a htaccess in root? Try to rename it something else.
Check CMOD on all files, php files should be 755 or 644
