I have a template installed purity II version 1.1 and I want to upgrade to version 1.2, but do not know how I can keep my current design, I have changed many things in the template and I have fear of losing all changes when I upgrade. Is there any tutorial to upgrade? Anyone can help me? Forgive for my English I am Spanish

Hi,
You will need a Winmerge like application to find code changes between versions, mark them, and also apply them in your customized template.

Should take no more than 15 minutes. Of course, you have to back-up.
TIP: most code changes are in the js and libs folders, then some changes in the layouts folder, then some minor changes in the CSS needed for the animated megamenu.

Hi Michelmin,
A small piece of advice…
BTW, I speak spanish too, so I’ll provide translation services as well 😀 lol

English:
Whenever you build a template from an existing one, you can make huge customizations that will end up with a totally different and custom design or you can make subtle changes and keep updating functionality into it. If your changes are subtle, the way I deal with it is creating a custom.css file and making sure the template calls it last in the header. This way, your custom directives will prevail and the original template will remain untouched, making the update process quick and flawless. (You will have to use the !important directive sometimes to ensure your mod sticks)

Peace,
Gabriel
