I would like to request more information in the User Guide Collection for Joomla Templates and Extensions.

What I would like to see is a separate section for UPGRADING. It would contain instructions for upgrading both Joomla and the Templates.

I think we would all like to run the latest version of everything but this is not always easy. I need to upgrade Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 and upgrade the JA Rave template from 1.5 to 2.5. I spent about an hour reading many threads today and am now having cold feet about the upgrade. My fear is breaking a live site with no fast way to solve the issues.

For example: Do you upgrade Joomla first or the Template first?
If you upgrade Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 will the 1.5 Template stop working until upgraded to 2.5?
These may sound like silly questions but I think it would be a good starting place.

Joomlart has the best Templates of all. Please help us use them to their fullest.

This is common joomla question and there have been several joomla documentation about it , here is one of them Reading that documentation and I believe that you would be able to upgrade your site well.
