This is a great template – I strongly recommend the quickstart installation option. I wish other template suppliers would provide such a simple installation option.

However, I do need a little help getting some extra features loaded into the system. I want to get rid of the polls and replace with some options where registered users can submit articles – a bit like a blog-spot.

I’m still a novice with many of the features of Joomla, but I do now how to follow simple instructions. If anyone has the time to offer some helpful advice – It would be gratfully received.

I suggest that you should go to Joomla Document page. There’s a lot of tutorial and user-guide for using Joomla there.

Regarding the polls, there’re 2 elements you need work with. One is Polls component (in the compnent menu), you could add/delete/modify Poll here. The second one is the Polls module which will display your poll created in Poll component.

For submiting articles, you could use JA Submit component (free provided by Joomlart). There’s a lot opitons in this component allow registered users/non-registers users could submit articles.
