I installed slideshow 3 on Joomla 2.5. I think I am not understanding part of this. I have it set to choose the photos from the folder, but how do I get them to link to articles? I do not want to use the images from the articles because the first photos are all 100×100 and I want banners. I did this with a different slider on joomla (different company) so I assume it’s possible, maybe I’m just doing something wrong.

May 16, 2013 at 4:36 am #492931Hi scifivision,
If you choose source image from image folder, in backend settings of this JA Slideshow module, try adding your desired article link to url parameter
Clean all cache then.
Regards
May 23, 2013 at 6:35 am #493698Tried to do this but I can’t figure out where you are meaning to put this. I read the other thread and there was a description box, but there isn’t on the module (I’m using Joomla 2.5 which is SlideShow 3)
Thanks

May 24, 2013 at 4:13 am #493807Could you pm me url and admin account of your site? I need a closer look to check this for you.
Regards
May 27, 2013 at 3:36 am #494014Sorry about that. I see there is actually an edit button under each photo on this version, but when I type in the info, none of it stays/gets added to the module.
Do you just need the site link or admin access to joomla?

May 27, 2013 at 3:48 am #494015Yes, since I can’t reproduce such error in my end so I need your site’s url and admin access. I will check what’s wrong 🙂

May 27, 2013 at 4:36 am #494025Hi,
Try to click EDIT button underneath each image and put your desired url in Link box
Regards
May 27, 2013 at 4:50 am #494028I apologize, I realized you were the same person who was now answering the support ticket I didn’t realize I had two separate accounts. It’s easier to answer here.
As I said earlier, I tried that but when I click update it doesn’t save the info in the boxes
May 27, 2013 at 7:46 am #494050Now even more problematic, I added new images and they just say “photo thumb” on the side and aren’t loading. I tried selecting a different folder and then reselecting the same one but it still didn’t work. They are showing in the back end where it shows the thumbnails, so I’m not sure why it won’t refresh.
And just as bad, I tried loading the page on my ipad and now the page doesn’t resize it won’t go smaller than the slideshow. 🙁
Still can’t link them either.
thanks
May 27, 2013 at 8:55 pm #494111I did not know how long you were going to be, I’m assuming you are a different time zone from me and will probably be working on it about the same time as yesterday (which was late at night/early morning for me), but I had to change some things around on the server end, so the link I gave you might not work by the time you get to it. If not, try this scifivision.org/administrator and if all goes well it should work fine from there. If you have any issues logging in, please let me know.

May 28, 2013 at 1:58 am #494116Hi again,
It seems that you’re using a responsive template. This JA Slideshow doesn’t support responsive layout, you should consider to use JA Slideshow Lite module (another slideshow module of JoomlArt) which supports responsive layout.
P/s: We maybe in a different time zone but we try to reply you within 24 hours ( a business day) so don’t worry 🙂
May 28, 2013 at 2:50 am #494125Where can I find the download I couldn’t find it. I am using joomla 2.5.
Are your other extensions responsive? or just not this kind?
