Hi Guys…

i am using the teline_iii template… i have few problem and would like your assistance with regards to it.

1. when using the “janews_fp” module it publishes whats on the front page. how do i get it to show something else or how do i hide the content thats published from the front page. as it is showing twice one as part of the module and one as content. if i set the content not to show on the front page it desipires from the module aswell.
2. i can not seem to get the “ja_tabs” module to work
3. looking at the demo… when you click on the different menu items on top it changes colour… how do i set that?

Hello,
Here some answers on your questions.

Frontpage module is programmed to show frontpage articles, so I don’t think it is easy to make it show something else.

In module manager you can open JaNews2: there is a parameter Show Front Page Article, which you can set to No.
Here you can also enter the section Id’s you want to show, and add one of the default colors. like in demo version:

13:red
14:orange
8:deepblue
12:cyan
5:green
9:pink
11:lime

For using Ja tabs there is a tutorial; otherwise you can install quickstart version locally and see how it is done.

k, i have managed to get the colour coding of the “JA News2 Module” thanks

I dont understand this why should you show the same thing twice on the front page. once in tha module then under the joomla front page…

where can i find the tutorial for Ja tabs?

For userguide JA Tabs look here.

If frontpage also shows as normal content, you have to configure home menu-item:
You have to set parameters leading, intro and link numbers on 0 (zero).

Hello,
You have to use JAZine plugin, let it generate the menu.
This generates a menu structure with your sections as main level and categories as sublevels.
This menu “magazine” must be selected in Template manager.
In parameters you can select the magazine menu as Menu Module.
In this way you get the colors you have set up in JaNews2 module for different sections.
