May 20, 2008 at 1:45 am #128715In the “Module Parameters” of “mod_janews” in version 1.3 of the
template, I see a new box “Hidden classes”.
Maybe that existed in template version 1.2 too, I don’t know (do not have it).
But that box wasn’t there in template version 1.1.CAN SOMEONE FROM JOOMLART COMMENT A BIT THIS NEW OPTION ?
There is no such box in the User Guide.
And, generally speaking, could you update the documentation toghether with the new releases ?Thanks in advance.

Anyone have an answer for this? I’m trying to figure out what the “hidden classes” box is for also. Also, I can’t find a way to order the feature stories for the front page in JA News. I want to display a particular article in the left side of the default front page layout. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.questbg Friendquestbg

February 12, 2009 at 6:05 pm #290926Hi Janice
Are you talking the ‘JA News Frontpage’ module?
You can generally order articles any way you wish.
If you can give a bit more info please.
Thanks
ChrisFebruary 12, 2009 at 7:39 pm #290948Hi Chris,
I’m using the JA News plugin for my front page. In the front page default layout template I can choose where to pull the articles from (front page, latest news, article id) but when they show on the front page they seem to be in no particular order. I want a specific article to show on the left side headline feature area.imsleepy Friendimsleepy

February 12, 2009 at 9:17 pm #290974I believe the Frontpage news pulls items by newest. I believe you should be able to go to the front page manager and change the order there. If that doesn’t work, go to your articles and check the dates for the ones you are displaying. You may have to override the create date to a newer date to get the one you want to display there.

February 12, 2009 at 9:55 pm #290985I ran off and looked at the User Guide for Voxite in Joomla 1.5 since it is a newer template using the JA News. http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-vauxite-userguide/ The Voxite template does not show any code in the box. I am assuming it is for use for custom functions you define. May also have been added to the module for future use by the developers.
I found the following description of Hidden Classes:

Hidden classes: Classes that have property such display: none. Separated by |

Hope this helps clarify for everyone.
