October 31, 2011 at 8:14 pm #170247With JA T3 v2.0 for Joomla 1.7 // base template: ja t3 blank
I have 2 profiles created:
1. Default
2. No-ContainerAll Pages is assigned to ‘Default’
101 (Home) is assigned to ‘No-Container’The No-Container Profile has the option ‘Hide Main Content Block’ checked YES.
The problem is this seems to affect more than the 1 page I assigned to it. Pretty much ANY page that doesn’t have a menu item associated with it inherits the hiding of the content block. It’s more apparently, however, with components that have their own pages. For instance, Community Builder. The ‘Register’ page for Community Builder’s CB Login is “component/comprofiler/registers” — and it cannot be made to use a unique menu item alias. As a result, the page is empty for me, because the content block is hidden.
So… How can I get ‘ALL PAGES’ to actually inherit from ‘ALL PAGES’ regardless of if there is a menu item or not?
November 8, 2011 at 12:49 am #423610I have the same problem: I use Community Builder, make a login entry in the magazine menu. When I click on “register” or “lost password” the main content block is not viewable (but it existes when I check the source code of the page). What can I do to show this contents/ functions properly?
Thanks and bye
Ralf

November 29, 2011 at 2:20 pm #427153So it’s been about a month and still no response… Can this bug get some attention? Is there any way to resolve it?

December 6, 2011 at 10:02 am #428195I get your idea to assign a menu item to every page on which you don’t want the main content block to be shown. I’ve used this way also on a site and it works well. But I can’t say anything about community builder because it seems to affect only that extension.
A possible solution for you could be:
– Do not hide the main content block
– Use Modules Anywhere from nonumber.nl
– Create an article and set the default menu link (home) to that article.
– Publish the modules you like to be visible at the home page via Modules Anywhere.I know, it’s not ideal but maybe this could work for you.

December 6, 2011 at 10:08 am #428196Oh I just installed the newest version of community builder and there is a menu item for the registration page. Maybe updating community builder will solve you problem 😉
