I’m trying to show a particular module only in Article pages.

Under Menu Assignment for the module I selected the Categories.

Currently the module shows in the Article pages as I need them, but they also show up in the Category Blog Layout pages. How can I hide it from the latter?

You will need to create a specific category and create a menu item for it. Then put all those articles in that category and select that category only in the module manager.
