Hello cherokee,

You can go to “Layouts” settings in Template settings of Template Manager. Then edit Default layout and you can remove module position inside “block” tags in that layout.

You can only show/hide module on menu in Module settings. It’s Joomla feature.

Joomla only allows to show/hide module depending on menu. Not sure if anything can be done about that.

Solution you showed me above is hack to T3 framework. We don’t recommend to hack core system, nor can we support core hacks.
