If I want to view and article I would normally just click the link to view full article. however if I choose the home template in T3 I am unable to do so. Conversely, if I choose a different layout it will allow for article view. I know you are thinking just switch the layout. Ok… But I like that layout and tried to modify the default template and no dice.

Problem Resolved. Need to assign only main menu pages to home template and then copy teemplate and assign sub menu pages to those with component block included.
