April 21, 2014 at 4:40 am #196936I have a multi-language website (link),
it’s default language is “tw”,Sometimes,
when I click “home” menu in “tw” version, It will direct to en version website.
when I reload “homepage” in “tw” version, it will direct to en version website.I found that:
If I click and view more than 2~3 other menu, then I click “home” menu in tw or reload homepage, it would be ok.
But
if I enter the website first time, default is tw, then you reload(F5) homepage, it will direct to en version.
if I enter the website in tw, click “1” other menu , then click “home”, it will direct to en version.I don’t know why!
If I have wrong setting, it should be wrong view all the time, but it happened “sometimes”.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

ja_university_en template: default language is English, main menu is en-mainmenumultilang setting: referencing http://help.joomla.org/files/EN-GB_multilang_tutorial.pdf

April 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm #531775Hi ejoom,
One of the possible reasons of such erratic behavior of a web-site during its extensive testing might be your web-site/you browser cache. Did you clear them often during your testing?
In any case, we can help your testing from our end but you need to help us help you.
At the time of my writing this post your web-site is accessible via an IP address. It would be better to do testing on a fully fledged web-site, i.e. the site running on a domain name. Is your web-site own domain name forthcoming?
You may also consider moving your multilingual site for our testing into its own testing sub-folder, like, for example, /test01/.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Alex

April 29, 2014 at 9:41 am #532852Hi Alex
Thank you
This is my new web-site, domain name is new.geog.ntu.edu.tw
The domain name is temporary,
(wit joomla3.2, ja university 1.0.6 , ja T3 framework 2.7.1)Could you tell me how to configure link of menu “home” to “domain/index.php/tw”
I have an old web-site, domain is http://www.geog.ntu.edu.tw,
(with joomla 2.5 , ja university 1.0.4 , ja T3 framework 2.5.6)
it also has home page language problem,
I solved it by enforcing link of menu “home” : index.php?lang=tw -
