June 23, 2008 at 9:10 pm #255645google is thy friend. search some javascript libraries. A bit hard since every browser is different. Better to use just a write up on how to manually set it as your homepage.

June 23, 2008 at 9:31 pm #255656I would suggest that you look on the Joomla extensions website
You can find what you are looking for here http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,listcats/cat_id,1890/Itemid,35/limit,10/limitstart,10/
I hope this helps 😉

June 24, 2008 at 11:31 pm #255928Ahh I see what you mean now, sorry. To be honest I have never seen anything like that being related to either Joomla platforms. You would have to search the web and use trial and error with any script you find.

Hi randpost,
Technically, this could be done through the browser (default window form).
You can either provide the instructions on how this is done. Or, if you want to pay someone, you could have a script for this pupose, just like some commercial sites do.
I do not recall seeing any Joomla extension for this.
However, you may have to consider whether this is worth the effort or expense. With the “ease” of being able to create a website, or through sites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, etc., more than likely people would prefer their own website than any site.
If I really like the site, I bookmark it; but even bookmarking may become obsolete if you are a Mac user.
Just a thought, not that it should dissuade you from pursuing the idea.
Cornelio
