Hello,

1 – Home page

I set the home page to display k2 categories but it keeps taking me to the default joomla featured articles, how can i change that please?

2 – Main menu

I want my visitor to be able to recognize where the different icons are every time they come back, not not have to look for them every time, is it possible to have them not move up or down when selected? i understand it’s not possible to completely stop the script but what i’m talking about here is the positing when selected.

3 – Filters

I use filters and extra fields for k2 a lot, i want to use the k2 filter from joomlart in an horizontal position, same as the search. login or help icon but close to the main menu on the left or even in the middle but same positioning as those icons, i want to be able to select an extra field and have the articles show like in category mode, is that possible?

Hi diofou,

Thank you for sharing use your concerns. I would like to answer them in detail as follows:

1 – Home page

You are using the multi-lingual menus on your website so that you need to change the Home menu item of that language menu to K2 categories type.

2 – Main menu

I has asked our template developer again about your request and he confirmed that the wheel scroll effect of navigation is defined with the width and the active highlighted feature of menu items in jQuery function (script.js). So that, the navigation layout will be broken when editing the functions of wheel scroll to get your request.
i.e:
– Active menu items will not be highlighted
– Menu icons will get bigger.
– Hover effect.

3 – Filters

You can create a K2 filter module at head-search position and assign to all menu items.

Yes. But not totally. The intro images of K2 items on the K2 filter search result page will not display correctly as on category view. However, lets me ask our developer to get better suggestion in this case.

Hi diofou,

I am sorry for being late on this question. Our developer has confirmed me that we will need to change the core files of this K2 filter module to get the intro images appearing on the filter result layout of Smashboard template. Changing the core files of the module is not the method we use to suggest JA members and also not under our support service.
