On my homepage the articles which are inherting the properties of the section editorial are opening within the homepage while the others open in the new page as I desire

Have a look

http://gyancentral.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=247:life-at-sydenham-college-of-commerce&Itemid=1 – It opens within the homepage

while

http://gyancentral.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=292:the-legacy-of-national-institutes-of-technology-in-india – opens in new page as required

I have checked the properties and both have the same parameters. Why is this error cropping?

Hi,
Because modules (ex: InternCentral, …) are just display with Home page (menu Home), so article has category that is included by menu Home will be displayed with InternCentral module. I included MBA Entrance Exams category with menu Home, as you see, MBA entrance test article is displayed with InternCentral module. Because MBA entrance test article belongs MBA Entrance Exams category

Hi khoand Thanks for your prompt Reply , however i tried your solution to no luck , can you give me probably a detailed breakdown for the same , i would highly appreciate , i have checked my SEF , Plugin Cache , And Category Settings still cant figure it out

I will configure Home menu for you. But Home menu is locked. Could you unlock it?

Hi,
I create Editorial menu has k2/category type. As you see, the-legacy-of-national-institutes-of-technology-in-india article is display as you expects. Because it belongs editorial category that is include Editorial menu

i get what you have done 🙂 thanks for helping , what i wanted is to show k2 item from multiple category on the homepage but some articles are still showing up homepage elements would it be cool if we can skype and also i do not want a link in the homepage for editorials

That create editoral menu to show editoral’s article correctly. So, you must create and publish it. I have no another way. To solve that you don’t want editoral menu in homepage, I have way:
– I set Additional class of editoral menu (Parameter (JA) section) is hidden
– I add this code into http://www.gyancentral.com/templates/gyancentral/css/menu/mega.css file


.ja-megamenu ul.level0 li.mega.hidden {
visibility: hidden;
}

–> So editoral menu is still loaded on homepage but it is hidden
