January 23, 2010 at 6:07 pm #147946Hi guys,
I’ve made some changes to the content on the site and the homepage’s layout has moved and now everything’s displaying in the main area and not on the right hand side. It’s been pushed in to the main column as shown in the image attachment.I can’t think what’s happened because I’ve only made changes to the content.
This is the message I got back from support but it wasn’t very helpful:
<blockquote>Thanks you for getting back JoomlArt!
May be when you edit or insert an article you have insert with Html code and some of HTML tag are missing that caused that problem
kindly checking again your content,If possible you can disable some of article
Note:Don’t copy your content FROM Microsoft word.
Sincerely,</blockquote>I’ve not copied from microsoft word, just from dreamweaver and I’ve not made any modifications to the index code it’s been purely content amendments. I’ve made sure the code is all valid in the content using dreamweaver.
Does anyone have any ideas? (And I have upgraded to 1.4 but only after the problem happened)
Any help’s much appreciated
Regards,
Rob

January 23, 2010 at 8:40 pm #330160Hello,
When I debug code of generated homepage I see 3 closing div-tags missing, which are openen on lines 84, 275 and 276
When in Firefox Developer toolbar I edit page-HTML and add these 3 missing tags after
<!– //CONTENT –>
then the content of right column really goes to its position to the right column.I don’t know why you could loose thes end–tags. Did you edit php-files from directory “blocks”?.
Good luck,

January 24, 2010 at 12:54 pm #330220Micrantha thanks so much, I had a look with firebug but I don’t think mine’s working properly there’s no debug components (cross and tick are missing) in bottom right hand corner.
I’ve not amended any php files, directory blocks, I was just editing content and also trying to get the video pop-ups to function.
I searched in index.php but couldn’t find
<!– //CONTENT –>Any ideas of where/which file to amend the div tags?

January 24, 2010 at 2:14 pm #330222Hello,
I see you could repair your site.
In any case: template is T3-framework.
So when you use default layout you have to look in layouts/default.php
For the loaded blocks you have to look for example in layouts/blocks/main.phpGood luck,

January 24, 2010 at 2:36 pm #330226Woohoo, I managed to sort it. It was the JCE editor that caused it. Friday night, I was updating some content in the frontend, used the email function but added in a subject element so JCE added in some incorrect javascript hence changing the layout
Thanks for your help Micrantha (I got firebug to function too)
