August 31, 2011 at 11:29 am #168023Hi there,
I try to find a horizontal login modul for joomla 1.7. But´s pretty hard to get one.
So is there a possibility to modified the standart joomla login without any registration options horizontal.I use your community plus for 1.7 template and wanna put the login horizontal (in line) in the upper right corner of the template (search position).
it should look like the search box, but of course with 2 boxes (username/ password) with a login button (in right position) and with the lost password/ username options under the 2 boxes.
would be great if anybody knows how/ or get an idea where to find a modul for 1.7 in this way.
Thanks in advance.
Chris
ps: i didn´t need any registration options or links for that at all, because I use the “login register modul” and switched of all an login options – so that I got a seperate registration form in position 5 of this template.

August 31, 2011 at 11:32 am #409791I know this might just sound like a silly question buit why are you not using the JA LOGIN that comes with the community plus template, then simply add it to the quickaccess location which is just below the search box?

August 31, 2011 at 11:50 am #409795phil,
i know what you mean. and right this modul is neat, but not exactly what i am looking for.
or do you mean using the ja login modul changed into a horizontal one if i use the quickaccess position?
if yes i would be half way through – but i need also the login button & lost password/ username options.
additional to that I wanted to have the login apart from the main menu – so the search position is needed for the frontpage.mfcphil Friendmfcphil

August 31, 2011 at 11:04 pm #409933so i checked all the points you suggest, but i am sorry to say that there was not a single victory at all.
1. putting the login modul to original quickaccess position – failed – nothing is displayed at all. probably because i´ve got a quite big menue and there issn´t enough place for it. anyway i would like it upper from there – so no need to fix that problem.
2.try to download the JA Edenite login module. but there issnt any offered just the quickstart file and a few other modules. so downloaded the quickstart, go to the folder login and packed it as a zip file and tried to upload it at the backend – failed – with this message:
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /kunden/xxxxx/webseiten/xxxx.com/tmp/install_xxxxx/mod_login/en-GB.mod_login.ini
(just “x” sensitive data)
before i tried to upload the unpacked folder via filezilla – doesn´t work as well – cant even find the folder in the backend at all – think i have to install it by the backend.
3. what do you mean with the login box pic of community plus login modul? i know there are this ordinary options for lost password, etc. but that doesnt help me, because i can´t use.
4. got the feeling i dont get far with all of this – beside the edenite login modul doesn´t realy fit the community plus styling. i just need 2 standart boxes, etc. like i already described.
so may there is a way to change the css for the standart ja login?thanks for help!

September 4, 2011 at 7:53 pm #410551sorry, can´t give you a link. the page is under developing status and not for public use yet.
but beside i think the link wouldn´t bring an additional benefit at all, because it´s almost the original.
like i told i just want to place a horizontal login at the search position in the upper right corner.so if you would like to have a look or to try it practical – just use the common community plus template, because it´s identical in all relevant positions.
i think shouldn´t be to complicated, would be nice if you/ or anybody else has a solutions.
thanks once again.

September 7, 2011 at 7:50 pm #411320OK – Because there issn´t a new reply anymore I must assume that a horizontal login at the search position of this template issn´t manageable or the joomlart staff don´t know how.
Sorry to say, but that´s kind of poor for a commercial template club.
