When changing from a 1920X1080 format to a smaller format such as a 1366X768 or a responsive layout, the text and the picture does not adapt at all at the layout.

Hi
this is because of the custom code added in custom.css file
Here : http://prntscr.com/bnqves
Remove the code and check the site . The bg image is not big and it use as background-size : cover
so its filling the full space and looks like in your screenshot .
